ADDING TO an already established stable of seven Italian restaurants throughout NSW and VIC, the latest edition in Melbourne’s Southbank has just undergone the final touches and is open for business.
With an interesting mix of furnishings and artwork, we were proud to have our ElfoLift 2 and glass shaft sitting in a prominent place just inside one of the entry doors. The shaft was finished in a black matt powdercoat finish with glass cladding, the cabin and landing doors were also finished in the same style for a seamless blend between the two. The cabin had one solid wall in F41PPS skinplate while the other two cabin walls were full size glass panels for maximum light, observation and security (and also overlooking a rustic feature brick wall).
As the lift is to provide access for those of limited mobility, the lift was fitted with all the necessary specifications for compliance with AS1735 Parts 12 and 16 and NCC E3.6, namely: 1100mm x 1400m cabin, 900mm wide doors, 600mm handrail, car operating panels on both sides of the cabin, and braille/auditory and visual indications on the landings and in the cabin.
